Latest version of iTunes not seeing Amahitunes

Is it just me or the latest version of iTunes (8.0.2 for me) cannot see the Amahitunes shared streaming server?

hmmm.
thanks for the quick reply Salo. this is on a mac, so i wonder if that's part of the issue.
the server log doesn't even indicate there are any queries from the client.
hmmm, not sure what's going on ...

it's not you, not even showing up for me under 8.02. I have not added any mp3s, but amahi comes with one that I am using for testing before I upload almost 1tb of music

I have about 2000 songs that amahitunes sees however itunes doesnt see any

check the logs file for mt-daapd:
it may give some clue as to what's going on.

I had the problem and attempted to uninstall amahitunes but it would not install. I don't have the file described above. I now can't use amahitunes don't know if it is 8.02 or uninstall. Any ideas.

try this, as root:
Code: Select all
rpm -e hda-app-amahitunes
yum -y install hda-app-amahitunes
service mt-daapd stop
service mt-daapd start
while i think this is not a factor in your problem, please note that we're transitioning from the old app system (still available, under
http://hda/myapps - DO NOT install any of the new apps from the online suite of apps using this), to the new system ...
soon we will move amahitunes ... thanks for your patience...
