I just bought an Apple TV and would like to be able to stream the music and movies from my hda to the apple TV.

Anyone tried this?

I can stream music from a computer running iTunes by activating the "home sharing" feature, is there some way of configuring AmahiTunes with this "home sharing" feature apple uses?

probably not out of the box (you can thank the apple crack dealers for that).

maybe jailbroken with extensions to see local devices like upnp/dlna devices.

I just read that if you jailbreak your apple tv 2G (not that difficult) you can then install plex, a media center client on the apple tv.

There seems to be a plex plugin for the firefly mediaserver, so if this would be possible to include in amahitunes, it would be awesome!

Maybe I should post this somewhere else, like in a "future requests" or something?
