AmahiTunes client on HTC Desire

Postby stueyboy » Thu May 20, 2010 11:57 am

Hello all

I am trying out a daap client on mhy android powered HTC Desire

http://www.androidzoom.com/android_appl ... _gkhj.html

I am having problems connecting to the server. The information it asks for is;

DAAP share name (I am entering amahitunes)
URL (I'm trying http://amahitunes/)
port (3689)

I'm assuming no login is required but will try some as I am having no luck at present. Can anyone comment on whether the above settings are correct?

Ta

I'm running the Android DAAP client on my Droid.

I address my HDA as: amahitunes.home.com (no 'HTTP://' needed).
It actually works pretty well!

Thanks for the reply radioz. When I do as you suggested (or use the ip address) it does seem to connect but I get a blank screen with Amahitunes at the top and no apparent activity. I've left it for 5 minutes or so in this state and nothing happens so it is either not working or thinking about something and not telling me. Did this happen to you the first time you set the system up as I have over 17000 files so it might take some time to sort out.

Let me know if you can get it to work. It's a pretty new app and getting updated a lot. I contacted the developer yesterday and he was quite helpful.

I can't get it to work at all. I get a blank screen with DAAP - Playlists at the top and nothing else so far. Any hints? I've tried the setup you posted. Strange...

EDIT: Hang on, I didn't think to click on the Amahitunes title under the playlists text. It's now loaded my library [DOH!!] Anyone have a facepalm jpg?

ah here we go....

Thanks for the help. I do have a slight issue that when the screen goes to sleep, the next song never queues up unless I unlock the screen again but I have contacted the developer about it.
