Happy to help. Please provide the URL for:
apaste --sysinfo
Next, follow the steps at in the Application Troubleshooting page, specifically the Clean Up Failed Web App Install section.

Once you have done this, try installation again. Ensure you only attempt once and if it takes a while, do not refresh the dashboard. Monitor via /var/log/amahi-app-installer.log for errors.

Thanks for the info.

Have you done:

Code: Select all

sudo dnf update
If not, then do so. Once complete, reboot and then retry the app install.

At this point, it could be a network connectivity problem that caused the failed install. If the app takes too long to install, this error typically shows up.

Have you had other app install failures?

Hi again and thanks for helping so far.

Basically now every attempt of installing anything gives this info in the "Available Apps" page
This app failed to install :-( We REALLY HATE that. This could be due to a bug, slow failed network, app bug or other changes to the system.
Please share the logs (in Linux, via terminal or SSH) using "apaste" as follows:tail -600 /var/log/amahi-app-installer.log | apaste
If you feel this is a bug we at the Amahi Team would like to hear from you via the forums the bug tracker or the IRC support channel.
I'm sorry if this i getting much trouble ...

Regards Frode

No problem. Happy to assist.

Try a different browser or clearing the cache in your current one.

Also please attach a copy (do not post the text) of the /var/log/amahi-app-installer.log for the last few install attempts.

You can also do:

Code: Select all

tail -n 100 /var/log/amahi-app-installer.log | apaste

Switched from Chrome to Firefox, then Edge (I'm on Windows 10...)
- same result

If I have done it right there should be attached app-installer-log going back to last working install.
The trouble started after installing PLEX witch I had running well on Amahi-8.

Let me know if the attachment is wrong ...

That is odd.

I see the same error, issue with the app creating the directory for the files.

Did you make any manual configuration changes to your system?

If plex-media-server App is still installed, try uninstalling it and then reboot. Try an app install and see if anything changes.

Not sure what could be the issue, but this may take a bit to sort out the root cause.

Also please attach a copy of the contents of /etc/fstab.

I have manually made changes to thr share "Newsgroups" that SAB creates. It was rebuilt by greyhole from the last install, and I deleted some files and folders. Could that be a problem? Probably do not explain the other apps failing?
