503 on clean install

I get a 503 response when i try to access http://sabnzbd.home.com/

I did a clean install on a whole new computer with new clean drives.
I installed Transmission via the http://hda/setup?sub=available&tab=app . Works perfect. In the same way I installed sabnzdb, but when I want to access it I get a 503 error response.

I have no real Linux experience, but have been reading the other post about the 503 error in this section. What I have tried:

Int the terminal as root:

service sabnzbd status
sabnzbd: unrecognized service

So I think it is not running or even installed? I have no clue what to do next. hda setup says that it is installed..

Your help will be much appreciated!

Cheers,
Dan

Please check the /var/log/amahi-app-installer.log for this app and report any errors. Something is not installing correctly obviously.

Thanks for the quick reply!

What I did now was; uninstall, reboot system, and install again.

This is what is in the install log:
======= app uninstall begin @ Sat Dec 18 12:10:22 +0100 2010 ==========
Uninstalling app id wsl3fc8t0d under /var/hda/platform/html ENV=production
cp: cannot stat `/var/spool/sabnzbd/sabnzbd.ini': No such file or directory
Your HDA services have been restarted.
App: SABnzbd uninstalled
======= app uninstall end @ Sat Dec 18 12:10:28 +0100 2010 ==========
======= app install begin @ Sat Dec 18 12:13:07 +0100 2010 ==========
Installing app id wsl3fc8t0d under /var/hda/platform/html ENV=production
Your HDA services have been restarted.
Your HDA services have been restarted.
/var/hda/web-apps/sabnzbd/elevated/start.sh: line 1: /etc/init.d/sabnzbd: No such file or directory
App: SABnzbd installed
======= app install end @ Sat Dec 18 12:13:27 +0100 2010 ==========
I checked that '/var/spool/' exists, but can't locate the sabnzbd dir.

I checked your post quick and seems somewhat similar. I tried to install gallery 3 and see if that would work in my case. And it seems to load http://gallery3.home.com/ normally.

Ok, I think I found the problem and have corrected it. Please uninstall and reinstall. Report if you have success or not.

The command to start is:

/usr/bin/sabnzbd

Do this as root and see what happens? Now the start up is not instantaneous so give it a minute. Also, you may need to purge your browser cache.

I tested this in a 32-bit Fedora 12 Amahi VM and it works fine.

The install does not seem to be there.

as root /usr/bin/sabnzbd gives me back:
-bash: usr/bin/sabnzbd: No such file or directory
You have mail in /var/spool/mail/root
?? Could it be that I don't have right or something to write in certain directories during install of sabnzbd?

Something is definitely missing. Please uninstall the app. Then go to /var/hda/web-apps and see if there is any directories labeled sabnzbd. If there is, then you need to remove them.

I am running out of ideas. I have tried this several times on a VM and it works fine. So you have a connectivity issue possibly?
