Can't find Plex Media Server

I can't find the Plex Media Server on my HDA. I've installed Plex Media Server via the app store, paying the fee. I've installed the app and have issued the "chown -R apache:users /var/lib/plexmediaserver" command in a root terminal session. Also, I can see that the "amahi-plex" service is running and am able to access the Plex dashboard using the ip address:32400/web address rather than the link provided in the HDA apps page. (I've searched the forums and wiki to no avail for ideas to resolve the problem; since there were 1500 hits, I might have overlooked the answer.) I'm sure this is a simple matter but I just can't seem to find that Plex Media Server (I do see the service running on the status page). I'd appreciate any troubleshooting advise or counsel you can offer.

What do you mean you can't find it?

I am confused as you said you have access to the web Ui and the service is running.

I will attempt to clarify. Using a browser I open the Plex app Dashboard on which there is an option to find the Plex Server to use with the app. The Plex app is unable to find the Plex Media Server running on the HDA. Does this help to explain?

I'd already seen and followed steps in the wiki; did not resolve the issue. What is the next level of troubleshooting?

Amahi provides the application, but can't provide much support regarding the app itself.

No way to know if the issue is with the app or it's installation. I presume since you are able to get the web UI, log in, and the service is running that it could be an app issue.

Hopefully someone else from the community can provide more help.
