Hi again,

I've a fresh install of Amahi 8. I used the dashboard to install Plex. If I click on the link from the dashboard, I get

"Service Unavailable - The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

I've folllowed a few other threads and tried a updating and

systemctl status amahi-plex

and got

amahi-plex.service
loaded: not found (Reason: no such file or directory)
Active:" Inactive (dead)

But it's still visible in the dashboard. I've also got a similar visible but not working problem with Owncloud - the "PHP module zip not installed. Please ask your server administrator to install the module, but I thought we could try them one at a time

I have the same problem.

It says the Plex Media Server app is installed, and the apache server config has been added, but it doesn't seem to have actually installed Plex Media Server itself. Running "locate plex" reveals no results (outside media files with words like complex in them).

Any hints would be appreciated, as Plex MS says it is in Beta on Fedora 23, so I'd expect it to at least install - even if there were issues.

Try this to see if it was installed: Also check the /var/log/amahi-app-installer.log for errors.

EDIT: It appears the RPM is not in the repo. We have moved the app to ALPHA until it's resolved. Hopefully it will be ready in the next few days for consumption.

Please see bug 1942 for the amahi-pex RPM. Leave the app installed, then follow the guidance in the bug to install amahi-plex.

If it works well for you, please update the bug report.

I followed the instructions and initially looked promising but no luck

I no longer get the 'unavailable' message, instead the url seems to resolve but returns a blank page. I've cleared the cache and restarted but no joy.

On the upside the Plex Media Server is showing as 'running' with a green light, which it wasn't before.

I was intrigued why the server was running, and after a bit of digging, (and after following the bug install) looks like I can in fact access plex server via http://hda:32400/web/index.html#!/setup/library and it works perfectly. Brilliant!

Doesn't work from the dashboard though, or http://plexms.MYDOMAIN/index.html

Not sure what this indicates, so not sure how to update the bug in case its a problem at my end... Advice welcomed!

We are looking into the issue.

To update bug 1942, login using amahi.org credentials. Then look for the bug and choose update to add to it.

Yesterday I installed fedora 23 and then Amahi 9. I want to stream videos from my HDA to my Smart TV. Do I have to install DLNA and PLEx? There are neither of the two apps in my dashboard...
