CLOSED: Plex Installation

I have been running Amahi for a few months. I recently paid for and installed the Plex one-click installer. After installation, I followed the instructions to run the 'chown' command which I did. When I go to plexms.amahi.net, I get a 503 Service Unavailable error page.

I have tried reboting, un-installing Plex, and re-installing several times. I am not sure what else to try. Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Thanks.

Verify the server is running as root or privileged user:

Code: Select all

systemctl status amahi-plex
The Plex Media Server wiki page might be helpful.

If not, please provide the URL for the following:

Code: Select all

fpaste --sysinfo
This will help us assist you with the issue.

Thanks for your help. Here are the results of the two commands you recommended:

[root@new-host-2 ~]# systemctl status amahi-plex
amahi-plex.service
Loaded: error (Reason: No such file or directory)
Active: inactive (dead)

[root@new-host-2 ~]# fpaste --sysinfo

You can try:

Code: Select all

systemctl start amahi-plex
I see you are using Fedora 19, Amahi 7.

We no longer update the apps for that version as it's in Maintenance Status.

I can try to assist, but support will be limited.

You might consider upgrading to Amahi 8.

No problem

Will close this thread since you are going to upgrade.

If you still have issues with Amahi 8, please start a new one.
