Amahi Plex Media Server and iTunes Playlists
Posted: Sun Jan 17, 2016 9:49 am
I finally got this PMS working under Fedora 21.
I copied all my Windows music library over. I found the location as
/var/hda/files/music.
I changed my iTunes library.xml file to point to all music in the Linux location vice Windows
i.e. file://var/hda/files/music/....
The music added under music but no iTunes channel or playlists.
I added the path of the .xml to settings/server/channels and enabled the
iTunes channel.
"/var/hda/files/music/iTunes/iTunes Music Library.xml" and also tried
"/var/hda/files/music/iTunes/iTunes Music/iTunes Music Library.xml" #tried moving the .xml in case it wanted a specific location.
I attempted to import the iTunes playlist and got a 500 error.
in the log I turned on verbose and got this:
{
"type": "ajax",
"url":
"http://plexms.amahi.net:32400/playlists ... =2&force=1",
"status": 500,
"headers": {
"X-Plex-Product": "Plex Web",
"X-Plex-Version": "2.4.23",
"X-Plex-Client-Identifier": "60gfnu7h6q4",
"X-Plex-Platform": "Firefox",
"X-Plex-Platform-Version": "42.0",
"X-Plex-Device": "Linux",
"X-Plex-Device-Name": "Plex Web (Firefox)",
"Accept-Language": "en"
},
"statusText": "Internal Server Error",
"response": "<html><head><title>Internal Server
Error</title></head><body><h1>500 Internal Server
Error</h1></body></html>",
"time": "2016-01-17T16:00:25.064Z"
},
I manually tried these but still a 500 error - like there are no
html/scripts to do this.

http://hda:32400/playlists/import/itune ... =2&force=1
Is there a way to import the iTunes playlists?
The iTunes channel also works under the Windows Plex server, which I have and can
turn on to compare settings as needed.
Thx for any suggestions.
