I have installed plex on my amahi system using the instructions on https://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Plex_Media_Server Then i installed it via the apps area of amahi. no matter what i do including the workarounds i still get the "You do not have permission to access this server" error. Is any one else having this issue? if i remember right a while back i ran into this and found a solution on this by typing in your hda's ip address and then some stuff after it. But i can not find that wright up now. Please some one help me

This is likely a DNS or web proxy issue. Recommend you check out the Plex Media Server Troubleshooting guidance in the wiki.

BTW, Plex Media Server is in ALPHA status for Amahi 8, therefore it's not ready and nothing is installed. Good idea to check status of applications before installing them.

Any idea when Plex will be out of Alpha for Amahi 8?

It is currently in BETA status. We are testing now.

If you have previously purchased the app, you can install now. It should show in your "Available Apps" section of the HDA dashboard. Any feedback on how it works would be appreciated if you currently have access.

Installed, but had to restart HDA to get plea server started.
Then had permissions issues connecting to th server via the dashboard. Following the wiki resolved this issue.
Libraries are currently indexing...........

Should not have to restart the HDA. The service starts on it's own, but might take a minute.
