Plex is asking me to update to a newer version, can I do this or should the update come thru Amahi app store?

I would recommend you wait for it to come via the Amahi app store.

Sorry to jump on the thread but got the same message last night and when I checked my plex is on version 0.9.11.1.678-c48ffd2 and when checking the apps it is at version 0.9.11.7.803-87d0708. I installed it as a one click app, does it not automatically update or do I need to update manually. If manually, how do I go about doing it so I don't lose my libraries?

The last version we released was 0.9.11.7.803-87d0708. The only method for update is via command line from the Amahi repository.

Code: Select all

yum update amahi-plex
If this does not update to the latest version, then request you please submit a bug report. We will get to it as soon as time permits.

Sounds good. Not sure why the app did not automatically update. We pushed it to the repos several days ago.

update to my earlier post, ran yum update amahi-plex and returned no packages marked for update. Dashboard for my apps shows version 0.9.11.1.678-c48ffd2 but I go into the plex settings on the web page it shows version 0.9.11.7 which would appear to be the up to date version for amahi.

The app version will not change in the dashboard unless you uninstall and reinstall.

This is due to the update coming from the repo vs installer.
