CLOSED: DLNA - web app missing?

Hi. I wonder if anyone can help.

Today I've set up a very old (about 10 years!) Toshiba Libretto U100 laptop as a media server. It's not powerful by todays standards obviously but fine for mp3 streaming to a machine or 2 (specifically the radio in the kitchen). It saves a usable yet redundant little machine go to landfill!

I installed Amahi on the Minimal installation of Fed 19, and while most of the setup has been successful, I have a slight problem with DLNA, more specifically the Web interface.

I seem to get a basic miniDLNA screen (please see attached image), rather than the image in the screenshot on the app page. Am I misreading this and this is the standard web page, or is there a fault with the installation? Everything else is fine (as far as i can tell at the moment).

Thanks in advance for your help.

Andy

That is the correct screen.

DLNA is a media streaming app, therefore you need a DLNA compatible client to access the media. The web page only shows you statistics about the app. The screenshot is of the Windows Media Center I believe.

You could use Windows Media Player or something similar. There are apps for phones too that will work with this app.

The DLNA wiki page might be helpful.

Thanks for letting me know bigfoot65.

I'll take a look at the Wiki now.

No problem.

BTW, I updated the DLNA page in the Amahi Application Store to clarify.

Thanks for the feedback!
