No not for a while but it looks like im getting the same issue for that update now too

Code: Select all

[root@localhost ~]# yum update Loaded plugins: fastestmirror http://f19.amahi.org/repodata/repomd.xml: [Errno 14] curl#6 - "Could not resolve host: f19.amahi.org; Unknown error" Trying other mirror. Error: failure: repodata/repomd.xml from amahi: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try. http://f19.amahi.org/repodata/repomd.xml: [Errno 14] curl#6 - "Could not resolve host: f19.amahi.org; Unknown error"
Worth restarting router and server? or could i type the latest update address directly?

Might be worth restarting the router.

You can also try the Network Troubleshooter or the Network Troubleshooting wiki page for assistance with diagnosing the issue.

Did the troubleshooting test and nslookup failed so i completed the following list of commands

Code: Select all

login as: root root@192.168.0.104's password: Last login: Sun Jan 18 19:28:08 2015 from 192.168.0.24 [root@localhost ~]# nslookup hda ;; connection timed out; trying next origin ;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached [root@localhost ~]# cat /etc/resolv.conf # Automatically generated by hda-ctl on 2015-01-18 18:30:08 search MCHOME nameserver 192.168.0.104 nameserver 192.168.0.104 [root@localhost ~]# ifconfig | grep -A 5 eth0 | grep inet [root@localhost ~]# service named status Redirecting to /bin/systemctl status named.service named.service Loaded: error (Reason: No such file or directory) Active: inactive (dead) [root@localhost ~]# cat /etc/named.conf cat: /etc/named.conf: No such file or directory [root@localhost ~]# netstat -an | grep :53 udp 0 0 0.0.0.0:5353 0.0.0.0:* [root@localhost ~]# cat /var/named/dynamic/hda-n2a.conf cat: /var/named/dynamic/hda-n2a.conf: No such file or directory [root@localhost ~]# cat /var/named/dynamic/hda-a2n.conf cat: /var/named/dynamic/hda-a2n.conf: No such file or directory [root@localhost ~]#

This may be a DNS issue. Can you access your HDA via IP address?

Apologies, i believe i misunderstood you earlier when you asked about ping. I did it from the computer i was on rather than on the server itself through the ssn. So far so good, update is running, all 412 parts! will report back either way once complete

Ok, that is very likely the issue. Hopefully it will work this time.

Ok its all working again, amahi updated, plex working fine and downloading its cover data which was my major issue and although i still see its version 0.9.9.14.531-7eef8c6 through my hda dashboard, it doesnt bother me as long as its working.

Thanks very much for your help and apologies again for the misunderstanding which dragged it out longer than was needed.

ps i have no idea how the network service stopped in the first place

Great news. No worries.

Once we get the new version of Plex added, you should see it. No estimate as of yet when it will be complete.

Hi, sorry to dragup this old thread but just have a quick question:
Everytime I restart the server (power outage & what have you) I have to input this command, is there a way to have the network restart auto during boot?
