Hey, very new to amahi and linux in general.
I just finished getting my amahi server up and running but my plex video stutters and the audio sometimes does not sync.
I am thinking this is due to the fact that amahi is installed on a usb stick, I am thinking about purchasing a sata dom and reinstalling amahi on that.
Would just like to know before I go ahead with that if any one knowledgeable might have some insight or advice about another route/easy way of doing this.
I just moved over all my files to two 3tb hard drives and I don't want to have to reformat anything.
Thanks in advance to any one who can help.
SOLVED: Plex Stuttering and audio sync
Re: Plex Stuttering and audio sync
Most likely the problem. We do not offer any support for installs on a USB flash drive. Amahi must be installed on a hard drive to have optimum performance.

Was messing about, and looks like the issues only persist while using chrome.. all other browsers work fine.
I'm not sure what the issue is, I guess it may be chrome?

Re: Plex Stuttering and audio sync
If you installed from the Amahi store, you should not upgrade from the source. You might want to wait for the Amahi update or you could break the app.
We only recommend this for advanced users as we cannot offer support should something go wrong.

Re: Plex Stuttering and audio sync
Alright I have a hard drive, if I do a re install do I have to format my storage discs? or just recreate the fstab?
Re: Plex Stuttering and audio sync
If you have additional drives, you can add them once you have Amahi installed.
Refer to addding a second hard drive to your HDA for guidance. This process must be followed in order to use the drives with Amahi. Obviously you can skip the part about reformatting them if you have data on the drives.

Yeah so I assume I don't have to re-partition either?
Just have to mount them?

Re: Plex Stuttering and audio sync
The issue is Chrome, checking forum posts at plex and this is a bug within chrome..
Using PHT and safari I am able to run 3 simultaneous streams without any issues what so ever.

Updating to beta version of chrome has fixed the issue.
