I'm sure someone here has found some smart way to stream movies from Amahi to a Chromecast?
Maybe using Plex?

Isn't Amahi equivalent to Plex? I'm confused...

No, Amahi is a home server solution adding file storage, web applications, network management, etc.
plex-media-server App is an application for streaming movies and such.
