I have amahi7 set up and working pretty well, I'm a bit disapointed that there isn't an app to access the aps screen from outside of the networm but such is life. However, my issue might be related in a way. Jinzora works fine from within my network, streaming songs to my nexus5 but fails when I am not using my network. The address that I am using (could be the issue) is jinzora.amahi.net. Suggestions?
Also what is the process to set up video streaming, I can't get the Jinzora web app to recognize anything.
Amahi newbie jinzora question
Re: Amahi newbie jinzora question
Recommend you check the Jinzora web site for help with streaming. We package the applications, but do not provide support on using them.
As for accessing outside the network, you will need to follow the wiki guidance.

Re: Amahi newbie jinzora question
Thanks for the help Bigfoot65, I can't seem to win here. I looked at the link that you provided, but I'm running 7 and even with advanced settings checked in the settings menu I don't have a webapp option.
I did a bit of searching on the forum and found this post " Post subject: Re: Hosting a Webapp" where you suggest using "Amahi Webapps Proxy" which looks like exactly what I'm looking for but it is in Alpha and not available and the testing program is frozen.
Any other angles to look at?

Re: Amahi newbie jinzora question
There is no need for the web app option. You already have the app installed. You just need to modify the applicable .conf file for Jinzora to make it accessible outside your network.

Re: Amahi newbie jinzora question
So now that you've fixed my issue on the other thread, I'm back to this one. Are there directions on configuring the .conf file for Jinzora to make it accessible outside your network anywhere?
Thanks for all your help.
Thanks for all your help.
Re: Amahi newbie jinzora question
Yes the link I sent you previously. Look at the part about hosting a single web app.

Re: Amahi newbie jinzora question
Well shucks, I can't seem to get it working Tell me something, the paid app subsonic, does it work from outside the lan by default?
Re: Amahi newbie jinzora question
But the good news is, I didn't mess up anything else by trying this time
Re: Amahi newbie jinzora question
There are no apps that can be accessed outside the network by default. You have to manually configure them based on the guidance provided in the wiki article.
Did you follow the steps and port forward on your router as well?
UPDATE: Exception is Amahi Sync and Amahi Anywhere apps.

Re: Amahi newbie jinzora question
I didn't see anything about port forwarding but I did forward port 80 to the ip of my hda.
I assume that the issue is simply my lack of understanding. I set up "ServerAlias username.yourhda.com"
Restarted http
But im confused that address inside my lan leads to my HDA dashboard, outside i get http error 504
I'm sure I'm missing something, just not sure what.
