Plex version confusion

Hi Bigfoot, I recently installed plex and notice that on the app store it says the server version is 0.9.8.10.215. However, on installation the reported version is 0.9.7.22.511. Which one is correct? There are features in the latest version I am interested in so I was wondering if it is not 0.9.8.10 any idea when it is likely to be updated?

Regards
Ross

Hello,

What OS are you using? If it is Ubuntu, apps will no longer be updated. We only update the latest release which is Amahi 7.

The app store is a bit misleading with the version. It shows the version of Amahi 7 apps I believe. It's on our list to show the version per OS, but not sure when that will get done. It's sort of low hanging fruit and not a priority.

You can install the latest Plex on your own. Just download it from their web site. DO NOT uninstall the Amahi app, but instead install the downloaded package over it. It will keep all your settings or should.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I'm still running Amahi 6 - the Greyhole web interface not being in 7 (and the role of the server in the house) stops me making the upgrade. I did install 7 but reverted when I realised that had gone.

If I can update the rpm directly all well and good. Thanks again

Understand. Greyhole in Amahi 7 is not hard to setup, just manual. We now have fairly straight forward guidance in the wiki to guide users through the process.
https://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Amahi_ ... n#Greyhole

The UI is on the list, but work has not begun as of yet. We hope development gets rolling soon.
