We have figured out the issue and corrected it for Ubuntu. Seems that Plex puts the PID file in a non standard location, so monit never sees it.

You have two options, uninstall and reinstall the app or execute the command below:

Code: Select all

sudo ln -s /var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application\ Support/Plex\ Media\ Server/plexmediaserver.pid /var/run/plexmediaserver.pid
This will link the PID file to the standard location.

just a quick question. what exactly is the difference between this app and the free plex for ubuntu?

Basically the same, except the Amahi app is integrated with the Amahi platform.
