I was under the impression sql did the writing, never mind.
Minidlna worked fine when I had a single hardrive. The first signs of trouble started soon after setting up a second hard drive and moving files to a newly created Music/Pictures/Movies folders and pointing the config settings to the new hard drive. File.db must have become read only before I finished creating the Movies share, as this never showed up on the clients.
Yesterday I moved around 10 gb of movie files before I noticed a disconnection error in the log.
Checking a client, the movie files moved after the disconnection error did not show.
I will keep an eye on the log for further errors.

I wonder what format does this new partition have.

Can you post specifics on where the location of the files are, in particular the db?

Second drive formatted to ex4.
/var/hda/files/drives/drive1/Movies
/var/cache/minidlna/files.db

ok, that should work. i just wanted to double check the format and location of the files to make sure nothing weird was happening.

This looks like a bug upstream. Anyone care to file a bug in our bug tracker?

We might want to look at changing the location of the files.db. The .conf file provides for changing it's path location.
