Android and Jinzora 3

Postby lhs » Wed Jun 08, 2011 7:44 pm

I have jinzora 2.8 set up on my server, the one click install is nice.

Jinzora 2.8 seems to work fine with computer browsers but I can not get it to work with any browser on android (neither my HTC phone nor my Nook Color with CM). I tried the jinzora app from the android market but it doesn't work either - my understaning is that the android app only works with Jinzora 3.0.

I downloaded jinzora 3.0 from github, the upgrade instructions seemed simple, just copy the new files over and make sure the permissions are correct. Jinzora 3.0 takes me through the set-up screen, but then I get a whole bunch of nothing. I suspect there is some issue with the .htaccess file, the reason I say this is that I don't see an .htaccess fiel in the standard 2.8 install, but it is there in 3.0. I tried removing the .htaccess file, but then I just get internal server error 500.

Before I invest a bunch of time exploring how apache and php5 are set up in amahi I figured I would ask if anyone else has been able to get jinzora 3.0 working OR does anyone have the 2.8 version (the one that that amahi provides) working with an android browseer of client app?

Thanks.

I couldn't get this working either, if your not particularly attached to jinzora try ampache. I got this up and running and streaming to my android with no problems.
