PS3 Media Server

Hello,

I am trying to install PS3 Media Server. I successfully installed the PS3 server via the apps but having trouble installing.
I have tried to use 'Uslacker's' wiki but cannot find either PMS.sh or PMS.conf in the web apps directory.

Any help would be most appreciated.

I have managed to get PS3mediaserver installed via the 1 click installer. However the issue now is that i cannot get the my PS3 to connect to or even see the PS3media server. On my Amahi box i have opened port 5001 both as TCP and UDP, and even gone as far as disabling the firewall. The PS3mediaserver is bonded to the proper network card and is getting the proper ip address. As far as I can see when i start the server up I get no error messages. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what may be going wrong?

P.S I do have DLNA installed and the PS3 is seeing this. The reason I am trying to go with PS3 media server is that I used it previously on WHS and it made playing all my media files very simple as I have a variety of .mkv .mp4 .avi and others.

have u paid for the alpha-version or is there another trick to install it?? i'm in the tester-group, but i should pay for it ...

To play mkv with ps3mediaserver you need to install 2 other package.

try this:

yum install ld-linux.so.2 libfreetype.so.6

Hi I've been running this also as a desktop app, willing to test the installer in needed amahi user name is iluciv. Is it the latest version that's packaged?

Just like to say thanks installed no problem and working fine few stuttering issues but largely config issue with the application it self. Would be cool to be able to embed the gui into a web page or make a java applet that sends the config selections to the pms.conf and web.conf files.

but for now I'm really happy it's now installed in a similar locations to everything else.

Glad its working for ya. We do not have the resources to develop a web UI. Maybe there is someone in the community who wants to give it a shot.

Is PS3mediaserver streaming subtitles as well?
