Amahitunes, permission denied

Amahitunes finds 0 songs.

In the mt-daapd.log I see the following:

2010-10-20 19:58:52: Initializing database
2010-10-20 19:58:52: Starting mp3 scan
2010-10-20 19:58:52: Error scanning MP3 files: Permission denied
2010-10-20 19:58:52: Aborting

I recreated my music folder and added a single mp3 for troubleshooting purposes.

[root@hda music]# pwd
/var/hda/files/music
[root@hda music]# ls -la
total 4484
drwxrwxr-x 2 brett users 4096 2010-10-20 19:42 .
drwxrwxrw- 15 brett users 4096 2010-10-20 19:42 ..
-rwxrwxr-x 1 brett users 4583424 2010-10-20 19:42 01 Take on Me.mp3

Any ideas?

I don't use it, but maybe try setting permissions to 777 on the folder. Seems like someone else has had this issue at some point. Have you tried searching the forums?

Gave up on this, opened amahitunes a few weeks later and everything is working now.

Perhaps there was an update?
