Hi Everyone, I am very new to this technology and wish to know more about it. Please tell me the followings,
1. Able to fix an existing (extension: ext4) harddisk to Amahi Nas without formatting?
2. Allow mounting & recordings from an Enigma2 (Linux Based) stb?
3. Able to switch-off & on automatically through a time setting?
Thank you

If you mean use an existing hard disk with data, yes. If you mean add to an existing OS, no. Amahi is based on Fedora 27 and will format and take over the entire disk.
2. Allow mounting & recordings from an Enigma2 (Linux Based) stb?
Have no idea.
3. Able to switch-off & on automatically through a time setting?
No. Amahi is a home server, which means it stays on 24/7. A NAS device is a completely different animal. You can shut off the Amahi server as needed, but you would have to manually turn the machine back on to use it.

Recommend you check out the web site. It will provide you with details on what Amahi is all about.

Hi Bigfoot65, thank you for the quick reply.
1. Yes I had meant a harddisk with a format in .ext4 that had data (not any OS) in it. Amahi will not format this but will only format a harddisk with existing OS, I guess this is what you had answered.
Best Regards

Basically if there are other drives connected.

Amahi formats the first drive OS or not.

Instructions recommend you only have a single drive connected when installing Amahi to ensure data drives are not touched.
