mount shares locally

Postby jefftr » Sat Feb 10, 2018 11:11 am

When I run:

service mount_shares_locally start

I get an error:
[54313.2xxxxx] ioctl error in smb2_get_dfs_refer rc=-2

repeats 5 total times with diff numbers for the "x"s

but still get an [ . OK . ]

When I stop and start again I get the same error messages with diff #s.

Anything to worry about?

Did you follow the wiki instructions precisely?

BTW you only need this script if you are manipulating files on the HDA via command line.

If using a client machine this is not needed.

I'm pretty sure I followed the directions.

However if I'm just copying files from my old Mac to the HDA I don't need this?

I thought 1 was doing this so Plex could see my local folders?

Rebooted my HDA and got the same error - even before I had chance to login.

Is there a way to turn this "off"?

Try doing:

Code: Select all

sudo dnf update
Might need OS updates to work correctly.

OK it installed rpmfusion-nonfree-release.noarch 25-2

Rebooted...still the same.

Still not clear - do I still need to do this for Plex to see the local drives?

You might want to check out Plex Media Server use with Greyhole.

Please provide the URL for:

Code: Select all

apaste --sysinfo
If apaste does not work, try fpaste.
