Recovery After Crash

Postby jaylanzy » Tue Jan 16, 2018 12:05 pm

Hey,

Had a cat failure with the HDA. Long story on how i got there, but water under the bridge. I have installed a fresh copy of Fedora 25 and Amahi 10 on a new drive. My question is this. I still have all of the data from pre crash. What is the best way to:

1. Retrieve the data from the disks.
2. Will mounting them using the Disk Wizard erase the data.

Briefly, what direction should i go here?

1. Retrieve the data from the disks.
You could mount the drive and retrieve the data.
2. Will mounting them using the Disk Wizard erase the data.
Only if you select format. I recommend you follow the manual guidance instead. Skip the Partition/Format step.
