CLOSED: HDA Server hangup

Postby Pbyrd » Fri Jan 05, 2018 9:50 am

After I upgraded to fedora 25 and amahi 10 the serve keeps freezing randomly. i notice it when my network crashes in the house and there is no internet. I have a media closet where i keep my server and a monitor and when I take a look after the crash the server is stuck at the initial HDA command prompt and does not respond to keyboard input. I have to power rest the server to get it going again. sometimes it works for a day or so and sometimes it freezes within minutes. The server was running fine with the last build of amahi and fedora 19.I took a look at the error logs and the only thing that popped out at me was this error "[Fri Jan 05 11:32:14.221349 2018] [http2:warn] [pid 883] AH10034: The mpm module (prefork.c) is not supported by mod_http2. The mpm determines how things are processed in your server. HTTP/2 has more demands in this regard and the currently selected mpm will just not do. This is an advisory warning. Your server will continue to work, but the HTTP/2 protocol will be inactive.". I am pretty new to linux so I don't know if this is a concern or not.

Has any one had similar issues with fedora 25 and amahi 11?

Thanks,

Pbyrd

Don't recall other users having this issue.

Did you do the OS updates?

Code: Select all

sudo dnf update

Got back home and it was locked up again. I may just reinstall fedora and amahi.

Im still trouble shooting right now. Checking hardware systems to verify good. Im currently booted into fedora rescue mode to try and single some things out. I also ran a memory test and everything checked out. So far since I've been in rescue mode, I have not had any issues.I did find some information around the web in regards to fedora 25 randomly freezing, so I am working through that information to try and figure this out. By Sunday, if nothing pans out, I will be reloading to software. Im not adverse to closing the post, but if I find something software related would it be ok to start a new post?

Thanks

Yes a new thread would be fine.

Good luck and hope you find the issue.
