Folks,

I have Created another issue:

When trying to reach Amahi Dashboard from my network computers the following error message appears:

This site can’t be reached

hda’s server DNS address could not be found.
Did you mean http://hda.net/?
Search Google for hda
ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED

Earlier today I installed an additional HDD using the Disk Management App. That seemed to work fine and no apparent issues after install. That said I had no created any shares, etc as of yet.

In addition, I installed the Crashplan App. Problem seemed to start after the install of that App but i cannot say definitively if this is causing this DNS issue.

1) Amahi Control Panel shows Status as "not updating" Have not had this message before.

2) Reboots of server have been done, no change.

3) Attempts to SSH to server from PC have not worked, I do not even get user name prompt.

4) Router has been rebooted as well, to no avail.

5) Internet access is available.

6) PING of the server IP address returns: Pinging 192.168.0.XX with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 192.168.0.XXX: Destination host unreachable.
Reply from 192.168.0.XXX: Destination host unreachable.
Reply from 192.168.0.XXX: Destination host unreachable.
Reply from 192.168.0.XXX: Destination host unreachable.

Did I break Amahi! Lol.

I'm at a loss and my networking knowledge is limited. Any assistance, guidance you my provide is appreciated.

The crashplan App is not LIVE for #Amahi 8 or newer. I presume that you have one of those versions.

The install has likely broken your HDA. If that’s the case, a complete reinstall may be needed.

In the future recommend you check the status of an app before installing it. Anything not LIVE is likely not working and can break your server.

Thanks again, I figured as much after the fact. Have done a complete reinstall and am up and running again.
