I can't find anywhere to disable DHCP on my Arris NVG589 modem/router for AT&T U-Verse. I called AT&T and that was a complete waste of time! I got tired of explaining that it doesn't matter what exists beyond my modem and that I did not need static IP but they didn't seem to get it.
I currently have the DSL coming into the modem and out of the WAN is a switch with my main computer, the Amahi server and a Linksys Wireless Router.
I can see the HDA dashboard by typing the IP but not with http://hda since I am assuming I need to have Amahi serving as DHCP and DNS and not my modem. "hda" shows on my Mac under "Shared" and I can see the shares but attempting to open one crashes the Finder window.
I'm thinking my first course of action is to disable DHCP and then go from there but no idea how to do that. Anyone here with AT&T U-Verse that has been down this path and can offer assistance?

Re: Disable DHCP on U-Verse Arris NVG589
OK ... I figured out how to "disable" DHCP on my U-Verse router. Basically, set the start and end DHCP addresses to the 192.168.1.10 address of the Amahi server. Now I am pulling DHCP leases from Amahi.
Slowly getting there!
