I did a new install of amahi 9 as per the instructions on the wiki.

after the initial instructions I configured some users, one of which has administrator priviledges, and a shared disk on my network.

somehow now I can see the shared disk on my network from other computers, windows PCs, and access its data loging when doing so via windows file manager, but ca not login to the HDA via web browser using the administrator user/pw combination. other users can loging to hda.

what has happened and How can I fix it?

This typically is an indication of user error.

Can you SSH into the HDA using this user?

If you cannot log in, then there is an issue. Either the user name or password is incorrect.

Also, you might want to add a private key and use that for SSH. See the Secure Shell (SSH) Login guidance.

I gave you an option in the previous post with a wiki guidance.

Also, username and password is case sensitive. Ensure you are entering it correctly. Check that CAPS lock is off.

You might also try reset user password guidance.

Reinstall should only be needed if all else fails.

The same credentials as you used for SSH should work. There is something amiss with your install if not.

Try the reset user password as I previously suggested.

This is the only option other than reinstall.
