CLOSED: Can not access any apps installed.

Postby b23norris » Wed Jan 18, 2017 8:08 pm

Ok another very new user to all this. I have everything set up and am able to move files to and from the server. I can access them on my files on my phone also with the Amahi app installed on my iphone. However when I install apps such as owncloud, Roundcube, rainloop, just to name a few I have tried, The page comes up and says site can not be reached. Server DNS address could not be found. I have used the url provided after the install by clicking on it, I have tried it from the dashboard, still can not get access to any of them.

Are you using the HDA for DHCP and DNS server in your network?

Please provide the URL for the following via command line:

Code: Select all

apaste --sysinfo

Bigfoot65

https://paste.fedoraproject.org/531157/48781841/

url for command

I have the DHCP on my router turned off as per the instructions said. When I installed fedora I also done the minumal install as the instructions instructed.

As I stated I am very new to doing the home server such as this and don't know much about what I am really doing. If you are needing anymore information you may have to tell me where to find this information at.

We no longer support Fedora 19, Amahi 7. The latest version is Fedora 23, Amahi 9. The OS has been retired for years and we do not update apps or make changes to Amahi 7.

Did you install Amahi recently? If so, recommend you start over with the supported version (Fedora 23, Amahi 9).

See http://docs.amahi.org for details.

Yes this was a recent install, not really sure how I got it after several hours of looking for the download I needed. So correct me if I'm wrong I need to download the Fedora 23 server iso and install it on the computer I want to use as the server. I noticed there is also a workstation version, is it something I need or is it used for something else? I have several older computers I am just playing around with, so if the workstation is just something used for a specific reason I may see about installing it on one of the others, if it would come in handy.

Yes that is correct.

Please follow the instructions precisely I provided at http://docs.amahi.org. That version is not supported with Amahi nor mentioned in the guidance.

Thank You, I will install the new version and see what happens. As this may take me a few days to complete as I do not have a lot of time on my hands right now.
