After many hours spent over Christmas break, 2 installs and multiple forum posts (thanks bigfoot65)...everything was perfect. I all network devices were fine, I could read/write all the shares via Finder on my Mac and Plex, Transmission and OpenVPN were all working both on network and through the VPN.
This weekend I had to turn of the PC running Fedora/Amahi for a few hours and when I turned it on the first time Fedora never fully started. I tried again and got it fired up, but now my Transmission and OpenVPN servers are not running and will not start. I tried start/restart through the Amahi server settings and nothing is working. I rebooted a few times and Fedora loads right away, but the servers won't start.
I also tried via terminal-
$ sudo su -
[sudo] password for XXX:
[root@localhost ~]# service amahi-transmission restart
Restarting amahi-transmission (via systemctl): Job for amahi-transmission.service failed because the control process exited with error code. See "systemctl status amahi-transmission.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.
[FAILED]
[root@localhost ~]# service amahi-transmission start
Starting amahi-transmission (via systemctl): Job for amahi-transmission.service failed because the control process exited with error code. See "systemctl status amahi-transmission.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.
[FAILED]
I'm not sure how to view the logs listed...please help
Servers not running after reboot
Re: Servers not running after reboot
The OpenVPN serverissue is a known bug. See bug 1910 for details.Transmission and OpenVPN servers are not running and will not start.
As for Transmission, please provide the results of the following:
Code: Select all
sudo systemctl status amahi-transmission

Ugh....
Now I'm getting "The Dashboard has encountered an exception" error at my HDA address.

Re: Servers not running after reboot
Not sure what the issue could be. Have you tried rebooting. Now I'm getting "The Dashboard has encountered an exception" error at my HDA address.
Also if you have not done so, might want to install OS updates:
Code: Select all
sudo dnf update
