Internet required?
Internet required?
I currently have no Internet service, and it will be out for a couple of days. My router is working, and i am able to use my amahi server for DHCP. However I am not seeing my shares. Also when I connect to my console (using my phone), it shows that my hda is stopped. Is Internet accessrequired in order to see my shares? To start my hda? Thanks
Re: Internet required?
Hmmm. When I browse to the server IP using on another system, I see the shares. So that looks ok. But I can't map a drive to the shares using either \\hda or using the IP of the server. Not sure why I can't access the shares.
Re: Internet required?
IP address would be the only option. Lack of internet likely affects access.

Re: Internet required?
Are you saying that you can't use locally shared drives (not VPN) without internet access? That will make Amahi unworkable for me. Is there anything else I can do to try to troubleshoot mapping to the share?
Re: Internet required?
Often, accessing machines within the network are dependent on the internet. I know my router does not work well when the internet is down. I cannot access anything unless I am using Windows clients with Home Group.
I cannot say for sure that is your issue. You might want to check the internet.
Shares may work though since it's not really internet based. Just not sure what your issue could be.
