Adding pre-existing harddrives to my hda

Hey there. Total Amahi newb here. just installed it on my system and it's running absolutely smoothly. I had backed up my old windows files (pictures, audio, media, etc...) to two separate hdds. I'd like to add them to my current amahi set up. I know how to physically install them, what I'm curious about is how to access the information already located on them. How would I go about that?

Thanks community!

Recommend you take a look at the adding a second hard drive to your HDA.

Thank you for that link. I've looked at the info there and there's nothing there about accessing information already located on the harddrive. Any help for that? Or is there something I'm missing...

Once you have the drive mounted, you will need to add a Share for it in the dashboard.

What's the best way to find the address to point the share to? And does it need to be "indexed" in some way? Is there a way to explore the drive to find out exactly where to point the share to?

Did you follow the guidance in the link I provided to mount the drives? Linux does not auto-mount hard drives. You can use the disk-wizard App for this or follow the guidance I provided earlier.

Once you do that, you can create a share for the drive and make the path the same as the drive you mounted.
