Ok, so I am pretty new to this whole thing but I decided I wanted a backup/media server.
I got amahi 9/fedora 23 installed fine and now my server is running (yay!). The os is installed on a 250gb drive I had laying around and I have another 2tb WD red drive in the case. It would seem the only drive that is being shared is the 232gb available on the os drive. I see that you can pool drives by enabling "advanced option" then selecting "pooling" under shares, problem is I don't see a pooling option when advanced options is enabled.
What am I doing wrong?
Greyhole/Drive pooling
Re: Greyhole/Drive pooling
Where do you see that guidance?I see that you can pool drives by enabling "advanced option" then selecting "pooling" under shares, problem is I don't see a pooling option when advanced options is enabled.
You will need to install the greyhole-ui App or follow the Grehole guidance in the wiki.
Recommend you read up on Greyhole (Storage Pooling and Landing Zone) before attempting to implement it. Greyhole is an advanced feature for Amahi, but there is quite a bit of info in the Amahi wiki and the Greyhole website. We encourage new Linux users to understand and carefully follow guidance as it can mess up your HDA if you are not careful.Ok, so I am pretty new to this whole thing but I decided I wanted a backup/media server.
We don't recommend advanced features be attempted by those with little or no experience and willingness to start over if there are problems. While we are happy to assist, we are limited unless you have paid support.
