SOLVED: Trouble installing CrashPlan
Posted: Sun Jan 31, 2016 8:09 am
I recently upgraded to Amahi 8 using a clean install. I have installed a few apps successfully (OwnCloud8 + OpenVPN). I have been trying to install CrashPlan using the Apps --> Available page. Each time I try to install CrashPlan, it gives me a message saying that the app has installed successfully. However, when I try to follow the "Installation and Configuation" instructions on the wiki page, I can not find the /var/lib/crashplan folder (that folder does not exist). This is the information from the amahi-app-installer.log:
==========

Updating CrashPlan configuration
Enabling CrashPlan Service
error reading information on service crashplan: No such file or directory
Restarting CrashPlan Service
Redirecting to /bin/systemctl restart crashplan.service
Failed to restart crashplan.service: Unit crashplan.service failed to load: No such file or directory.
App: CrashPlan installed
======= app install end @ 2016-01-31 09:38:25 -0500 ==========
I have tried uninstalling, rebooting, and re-installing. Each time I seem to get similar errors in the installer log.
Any suggestions on how to install CrashPlan would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
