After 6 hours Amahi will not work

Spent a great deal of time installing and playing with my network settings to get Amahi working. Nothing seemed to allow me access to http://HDA. I would really like some help, I was originally just looking for a simple install and forget program for a home media server. Now I have spent 6 hours without anything to show for it.

Installed Amahi 7 using the express inmstall DVD. After when I tried to get access to the HDA I received DNS lookup failed errors on my web browser. I tried turning off DCHP on my router, changing from static to no static IP, setting the first and second DNS server on my router to the same IP as the HDA. Nothing works and I do not know enough about it to even have a clue where to begin. I also tried and changed the IP address on the Amahi website, got a new code and did a reinstall (4 times) all with the same results.

IDK if it could be a cause but I have found the IP address for my devices is way different than my gateway IP, I also know that if I install Amahi on with DCHP off it will not except the code.

I am installing on a older (4-5 years) laptop, hard wired direct to the router, 60 SSD , and the computer on the network is a MAC running Lion, plugged into the router via power line adadpter.

Thanks for any help

This could be a device driver issue. You need to use the Full DVD install to ensure all drivers are properly installed.

BTW, Amahi 7 on Fedora 19 (Express CD) is no longer supported. Recommend you install Amahi 8.
