Cannot access any apps

Postby gerinho » Mon Jan 11, 2016 12:23 pm

Hi there I'm a newbie to Amahi (already have used OpenMediaVault).

I've installed qBittorrent, Monitorix, Ez Server Monitor and I can't nowhere access these apps in browser (Firefox an Chrome)...

By the way I can access Disk Stats because it points me to the server IP and respective tab.

Something I'm doing wrong?

Thank you

Recommend you check out the troubleshooting wiki page.

How you have your network set up makes a difference. To access apps, it's bests to use Amahi for your DHCP and DNS server.

Accessing apps via IP address will not work. Amahi is not your typical server.

If you need additional assistance, please provide the URL for the following command:

Code: Select all

fpaste --sysinfo

Thanks for the URL.

Did you check the page I suggested? Also are you using Amahi for DHCP and DNS server?

Yes and yes

Should I reinstall Amahi? (don't think it will solve the issue...)

Thank you

Did you renew the IP address for the client?

Follow the network troubleshooter?

There are many variables that affect your situation. You need to do some debugging with the guidance provided.

Your situation is characteristic of a DNS issue.

Yes I did follow the troubleshooter, everything pings allright, but no access to apps.

I will see my router configuration tomorrow (Technicolor TG784n v3), I have to go to work :? , and will send you feedback.

Thank you for your time

Sounds good.

BTW to see if the client is correctly being supplied DHCP and DNS by the HDA, check the IP address and DNS server address is uses. For Windows, use:

Code: Select all

ipconfig /all
If the addresses are not the IP address of the HDA, then that is your issue.

Checked all router settings, did a fresh install, an no way I can use any app...

ALL the interactive troubleshooter steps PASSED with no problems.

Don't know what's going on

Thank you anyway

Did you check that your clients are getting the DHCP and DNS from your HDA?

Is there a firewall in place somewhere in your network that could be causing the issue?
