New to Amahi and linux. I followed the install guides and all running good. Problem is my directory sizes. I have a 1 TB drive. The /home is 865 gb and the / is 49 gb. Needless to say this is probably backwards. How do I move space from /home to / to be used for the shares? Searched the forums and can't find an answer, at least one I understood. Thanks for any help, trying to learn.

Which install guide did you follow?
You can use a disk utility such as
GParted.
Might need to start over and when you select the custom disk partitioning, make the change there before installing the OS and Amahi.

I used the Amahi 8 and Fedora 21 but after deleting partitions on disk I let Fedora configure the new partitions. My mistake. How big is the /home usually.

It varies. Fedora will allocate quite a bit to he home partition.
I would recommend no more than 20GB as most don't use their home directory for much. Most files are kept in the shares.
