Hello all,

I'm fairly new to linux, and i am wondering the following:

I use multiple machines,
one desktop for at home, a laptop for at home also, and a netbook for when im @ clients.
Now, with my HDA setup, i was wondering the following:
Is it possible to share the same desktop amongst all these computers?

On windows you have roaming profiles, how would this work under linux?

hi jan, some people like to do that with freenx. but it's remote desktop.
maybe there is an equivalent of roaming profiles. dunno.

Remote desktop is what i use now, however, basicly, i want the same desktop to have when i am with clients, so that rules out remote desktop :)
i'm looking into it, if i find anything, i'll see if i can make it usefull for amahi users

you can mount /home (or just /home/your_username) on an NFS share on all the systems, where the NFS share is provided from your server. This will give you the same settings everywhere. It also means that you'll have to configure all systems exactly the same though.

by now, Amahi supports roaming profiles, which means i have the same desktop everywhere ;)
