CLOSED: Should I do a new install with Amahi 7.1 or 8?

I am assuming that the Express Disc is Amahi 7.1 on Fedora 19 (https://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Express_CD).

In the forums and documentation, it is often mentioned that the only officially supported version is the Express Disc. But, with Amahi 8 now out on Fedora 21, for a new install (and for a newbie/beginner), is it recommended that I use the "Express Disc" install of 7.1 (https://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Express_CD) or go with the newer "Amahi 8 install from scratch" (https://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Amahi_8_Install)?

Thanks.

and, if I end up going with the Express Disc method (which I assume is easier and has all the Fedora goodies ready to go), will there be an easy migration path to Amahi 8 at some point down the road or will it always be a relatively difficult transition?

The Express Disc is only for Amahi 7. Fedora 19 is now in "Maintenance Only" status and not the latest stable release for Amahi.

Recommend you install Amahi 8 on Fedora 21 since it's now the "Offiically Supported" version. Follow the Amahi 8 from scratch guidance for Fedora 21 Server and you should be up and running in no time.

No problem. Our primary documentation site is lagging behind a bit on the new release. Hope to get it caught up today.

The wiki is on target and detailed guidance available for Amahi 8 with screen captures.

If you have any comments or suggestions for the documentation please let us know.
