Change ip number to 192.168.2.* from 192.168.1.*

Postby christopher77 » Sun Aug 02, 2015 1:49 pm

After installing Amahi a few days ago I am in the need of changing the ip number to 192.168.2.8. I had to change a setting in my router and this is what the numbers are like now. 192.168.1.9 was the old number that amahi used before.

I used

Code: Select all

hda-change-gw 192.168.2.1

and it lasted until i rebooted the machine today.

The change must be made via the HDA dashboard not command-line.

See change IP address in the wiki.

So I'd have to somehow get an ip number from my router of 192.168.1.* again? Probably not gonna happen.

You can only change the third digit. You can set the router typically to only serve a single DHCP address and make that the one for the HDA. Then use the HDA for the DHCP server for the network.
