Newbie here. Thinking of migrating from Server 2012 R2 Essentials

Hello all. I am thinking of joining the Amahi club and ditching my Server 2012 R2 Essentials setup due to all the problem that I have been having lately. I do have a few questions before I take the plunge.
I am not to familiar with the linux side of things but I should be able to follow the instructions on the wiki easy enough. I am currently using a LSI LSI00244 (9201-16i) PCI-Express 2.0 x8 for my data drives. Is this card supported under Amahi? I have searched the forum and the internet but I have not been able to find any info on this. I currently have the following drives setup.
Attached to a sata port on the motherboard.
500GB SSD / OS drive
1TB / PC Backups
1TB / Mac Backups
Attached using the LSI card running under Stablebit Drivepool.
4TB x2
2TB x8
Another question is what is the safest and easiest method for adding my drives to the new setup without losing data? I will be using greyhole as I have had 100% success using stablebit drivepool. In the past I was a fan of raid but I have had horrible luck and have lost all my data before so I am not willing to go that route again.
I am sure that I will have many more questions in the future. If you need me to provide anymore info to get answers to the questions above please let me know and I will provide the answers asap. Thank you in advance...
