Hi all new to the forum and amahi and Linux,

Had no issue installing amahi,accessing from home, and open vpn. But plex says I don't have permission, so I been reading on the forum and seen some things I can do. But it requires root access. I can't login as root I tried doing it from the local pc that I'm using for the server. The only thing the screens shows is local host. So I tried typing in my user. But when I type the password it won't do anything. Can some one point me in the right direction to open terminal so I can access root. Thank you

Did you install the Amahi Plex Media Server app? If so, then there should be no issues with permissions.

BTW, the Amahi Wiki is our primary source of tutorials and Amahi specific guidance for many tasks.

Yes I install the app. And after install when I open plex it say. No permisson.

So on the pc where it says local host. I tried typing in root and then password and it says incorrect login. But If I type in my user name and password it works. I still have a lot of reading to do. Not that I haven't already. As far as installing amahi that was easy. Thanks for the reply

I am using HDA for DHCP & DNS.

Yes it says permisson denied.

Ok, recommend you uninstall. Reboot, then reinstall. Check the log file for errors.
