I know this is a noob question, buut, the HDA that I configured for my church has a very annoying quirk. I have to be logged in to a desktop session for anybody to connect to it, which means no DHCP, DNS, Samba, etc. unless it's logged in. It is a F10 box at runlevel 5. Once I get it all configured, I will switch to runlvl 3.
My home HDA (F9 running at runlvl 3) doesn't have this issue. Any ideas? Thanx in advance.

Re: HDA needs to be logged in...
This is really really strange. I almost cannot believe it, as it's completely indifferent ...
You can try to ssh in remotely and ps gaux | grep dhcpd
Or, hit the setup pages and the servers page to see their status
You can also see /var/log/messages
