How do I get files onto my server?

OK so I just got Amahi loaded and working but I can't figure out how do I get my files on to it. I plugged in a usb drive but it doesn't show up and if it did I have no idea how to transfer the files. I need help or a instruction manual!

What do you use for a client OS? Windows? If so plug USB drive into it and access shares via Windows explorer. Enter \\hda in the address bar.

No I'm using Mac.
