Hallo everyone.
I am just testing out Amahi to decide to use either Amahi or WHS 2011 (moving from Windows 7)
After 2 days of errors and installation problems I finally got Amahi installed.
I had disk reading errors at first and after writing about 7 dvd disk I got it to install. A USB stick install would have been ideal.
Fedora would not re-partition my disk. Eventually I had to plug the disk into a windows pc and use MiniTool to delete all partitions.
I cannot access my drive(NTFS) with all my data on. I got the disk to show in the control panel but their is no shares.
I have no knowledge of linux and don't know how to ssh and mount drive and or format drives in a linux machine.
Is there an easy way or should I rather stick to what I know?
The OS is running on an SSD. A 4TB and 5TB is connected with SATA for media storage
I need a stable network for openelec clients (reason for wanting to move away from Win 7 as a basic file server)
I need fast copying of large amount of files (reason for not using Openelec as a server)
I need to manage and copy file on the server from a Windows PC ( I used RDC to connect to Windows 7)
Any advice would be appreciated.
How to add a NTFS drive in shares?

Recommend you check out Adding a second hard drive to your HDA.
It provides for NTFS formatted drives.
