RESOLVED: Complete Noob Network Startup Question

Hey everyone,
Fairly new to Linux and very new to Amahi. I have not switched DHCP and DNS on for my server because I am still having some connectivity issues. Whenever I reboot the server my connection for EM1 is turned off, how do I set that to turn on automatically on boot up? Also my internet connection is intermittent; some of the time I can see a list of apps to install in the dashboard and some of the time it says limited internet connectivity. Thanks.
Max

Recommend start with the
network guidance in the wiki.

I followed the troubleshooting guide but like I said I have not turned on DHCP or DNS server in the Amahi box becaue my Eth0 connection does not start up on boot up. How can I get it to start up on reboot without actually have to go over to the network settings to start it?

Please provide details. What OS did you install? Does your machine meet minimum specifications?

I installed fedora 19 per the full DVD installation method on the wiki because I wanted a GUI. It's a dual 2.4 opteron core with 3 gig of ram.

Amahi must be installed headless. You must do minimal install.
This is likely your problem. If you want a desktop, recommend installing the Amahi
VNC application.
We cannot offer support otherwise.

I initially did an install with the express 7 dvd. I tried following the suggestions for installing gnome but couldn't ever get it to initialize. That is why I went with the full install. I'm trying out this server software to see if I like it before I start dropping cash, so I'm not really enthused with buying the VNC app just so I can use a desktop for other things. Especially since trying see if I can get this server to work with my current ISP (uverse from AT&T). If I revert back and do a headless install is there a way for me to get a desktop without buying the VNC app right away?

Try the unsupported USB install method in the wiki.

Many have had success and it installs a desktop.

Please let us know how it goes. There is a lot of manual work for this method. However I have tested it with no issues.
