Thank you,

I am following the guide; however in the section "Save the public key on our Amahi server"
how can I achieve this if I cannot log into the server?

That would cause a problem. What version of Amahi are you using?

UPDATE: What client OS are you using to access the HDA?

Thank you,

I just installed the latest version and my Client OS is Win 7 Pro x64.

Ok, so using putty you should be able to access via the IP address. If not, then there may be a firewall blocking access. I presume the user name is one you created during the Amahi 7 install.

Also can you ping the HDA IP address? Access the Dashboard? These all will help indicate where the issue may be with the SSH problem.

UPDATE: BTW, you can add the key via the Dashboard, users tab.

Yes,

I can ping the server, DHCP is disabled on my router and I have rebooted the PC twice now.

I have enter the entire private key into the User on HDA and browsed to the private key file created on my PC.

When I try and click on a Amahi App to config it tells me I am using the internet address though and not through HDA.

Enable the DHCP on your router and refresh the client IP so it's getting internet from the router. You should not disable DHCP on the router until everything it working.

Once that is done, to SSH again. If you are still having issues, recommend you look on the internet for potential solutions.
