I just completed the install and when it rebooted the system displayed
fedora release 19
kernel 3.10.5-201.fc19.x86_64 on an X86_64 (tty1)

[RBurchat@Burchat-GC ~]$ with flashing cursor and does nothing If I type help it lists commands but what do i DO?

Amahi is a headless server. You are accessing it via the command line. If you do not know what to do, probably best to learn more about Linux and Amahi.

To utilize it's features, you need to access the dashboard via http://hda from a web browser on a client machine.

It provides how to access the dashboard and a link to videos to get you started. You have to play around with it to learn what Amahi can do. There is also various tutorials and guidance in the wiki.

Thank you for your direction, I don't think I will learn linux / Fedora programming (I did play a bit with help help)!
I did use you link amahi.org docu section 3 (Init & utilize amahi); although i can't use http://hda I did try my chrome book using IP address (hda fixed) and could see the dashboard. I haven't done the static IP/DHCP (also novice in networks) thing because my son is on-line gaming so I will wait till tomorrow. I was able to use the hda (chrome book) download Apps to my amahi server and even use the feature to turn the system off so there is a communications link. I just don't understand what is wrong/missing with the reboot and why I don't see Amahi on the system I just loaded to?? Tomorrow then. Again thanks for the guidance!

I was just recommending you learn some basic command line syntax.

Once you change your network configuration to allow Amahi to manage your DHCP/DNS server duties, you will be able to access the dashboard via http://hda.

Let me clarify my earlier post about headless. The console you are referring to is the headless part. Some Linux distributions provide a desktop that you log into and can use. Amahi 7 does not by default. You don't need to log into the console unless you plan to do command line.

So there is nothing wrong with your install. You only will see Amahi if you use a web browser from a client in your network via http://hda. You can do most things via the web browser.
