Amahi Control Panel

Postby smc » Mon Jul 14, 2014 6:32 pm

HDA IP address is not as listed in the control panel. Neither is the gateway. Maybe this is why the control panel is not showing the correct status as we are up and active. How do I get the correct IP for the gateway and the hda in the control panel?

You can email support, but not sure if it's possible without a reinstall.

I have same problem. I was too ignorant when I started this a month ago. My IP address are both wrong. Did the troubleshooter go these results. (Pasted Below) Mine works but the IPs are fricken wrong and unchangeable.... That sucks! Not sure how to uninstall. :?:

Progress
Step 1: Your HDA IP address is xx.x.x.xx

Step 2: Your HDA domain name is amahi.net

Step 3: Your router IP address is xx.x.x.x

Step 4: Your HDA DNS server is working fine for local hostnames

Step 5: Your router is accessible from your HDA server.

Step 6: Your HDA can access the Internet

Step 7: Your HDA DNS server is working fine for external hostnames

Step 8: Your HDA Dashboard is accessible.

Step 9: Your HDA DNS server is used by your client computer.

Step 10: Your client computer has the correct domain name

Step 11: Your router is accessible from your client computer.

Step 12: You can access the internet on your client computer (ping test successful).

Step 13: Your HDA DNS server is working fine for external hostnames on your client computer.

Last night I was looking for an email address. I don't find one. Support is directed to here or the IRC. Do you have one? Thanks.

Hi, we changed the address, however, this does not really affect your HDA other than for installs.

If you hit the .1 address, it would be normal to hit your router admin page, so that seems to work well.

If everything checks, what is the problem?

I went to http://hda it still didn't work, I also rebooted the server. However I tried my HDA IP address and there I have the login screen.

This is where i feel stupid.... I tried logging in... I am now stuck at the login. So I registered and setup the HDA last month. Noted my controlpanel username and pwd (wrote both of them down). Is this the same one for this? I don't recall setting up any other user for amahi. I did set-up a user for Fedora 19. I followed th 32bit instructions with Fedora 19 minimum install.

I'm dumbfounded. Any help is appreciated. I think tonight Im gonna be nose deep in the wiki.

I followed the Amahi Install Instructions for 32 bit Fedora 19 Minimum install. I don't see where I was supposed to set up a user for this. Unless I'm to use my control panel login. Is there a way to create a user from the terminal???

https://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Amahi_7_full_DVD
Install Amahi
Install the Amahi repo by hand with:
rpm -Uvh http://f19.amahi.org/noarch/hda-release ... noarch.rpm
Get the mariadb base packages (this is to avoid dependency conflicts)
yum -y install mariadb-libs mariadb-server
Try installing both hda-ctl and hda-platform. This should install a lot of dependencies with them
yum -y install hda-ctl hda-platform
If that works, ```and only if that works```, so the Amahi install (also as root; replace YOUR-INSTALL-CODE with the code you set up in Amahi.org):
hda-install YOUR-INSTALL-CODE
If that fails, check the Express CD troubleshooting page. For help, please fpaste the log (you may have to yum -y install fpaste). The log should be in
/root/hda-install-*.log
If all goes well, it should tell you to reboot
Post Install Notes
It will boot with the static IP you preconfigured in the Amahi control panel
You can verify if the dashboard is available by accessing from any client using the IP address.
It's strongly recommended that you turn off the previous DHCP server and let Amahi handle DHCP so that DNS falls into place
Reboot all the clients to get them to use your Amahi server
Your Amahi dashboard should be available at http://hda
The first time it will initialize and will ask you to login to create a dashboard password for the admin user you created

Use the admin user you created when installing Fedora 19. The user from amahi.org will not work on the HDA.
